The Validator Tool (some people call it Lottery Checker) for Lotto 6/49 is now working. Here is the first Validator screenshot:

As you can see, development of LottoBongo.com is going well and the website will be up and running shortly. For those programmers who are interested in which technologies I am using, all I can say is that JQuery is my new best friend :)

Next Step…

There are many things to do first before we can have a live website:

  1. learn about programming technologies to be used (AJAX, JSON via webservices, LINQ, JQuery and XFBML)
  2. retrieve historical lottery results
  3. database analysis
  4. website design
  5. deployment setup and preparation (domain name and hosting)

Items number #1 and #5 are already done.  Item number #3 is partially done so I can now work on item #2 and create a Windows form that will parse a particular website (I cannot tell the name of the site yet) and save all the historical lottery results in my database.

Being a Canadian resident, I will concentrate on the Canadian lotteries for now so I will start retrieving Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Super 7 lottery results. Stay tuned…
